Introduction to Zoos & Conservation Work

Are you interested in a career working with animals and conservation?

This is your chance to have a taster of a career at one of the leading animal conservation organisations in the world, London Zoo.

Over the five days you will learn about the different career routes into animal welfare and conservation, working alongside keepers and conservationists to gain practical experience and theoretical knowledge.

Participants will gain a number of AQA certificates across the course as a record of their work, from team building to animal enrichment design, that can be used as evidence for college or work applications.

This is a mixed course of classroom-based and practical workshops. You must be able to commit to all 5 days.

Priority will be given to young people who meet one of our widening participation criteria: Those from BAME backgrounds, have a disability, currently or previously in receipt of Free School Meals, those who would be the first in the family to go to university and anyone currently in care, a care leaver or a young care giver.

London Zoo will provide lunch.
