Camden Summer University

Camden Summer University is looking for young poets to contribute to the 2027 Black History Calendar.

  1. Choose an inspiring, UK based person who you admire who has made a contribution to either the arts, music, film, or social activism. They maybe well know or have disappeared from mainstream history.

  2. Write a short Poem (between 100 - 250 words) about this person

  3. Each poem used will get a £25 Amazon voucher. You can submit up to 5 poems; each poem must be about a separate person.

  4. Selected poems will be printed in the Summer University 2027 calendar which you’ll get a copy of. Closing date is Thursday 1 October, email submissions to kim.trehane@camden.gov.uk
