Play in a Week 1

Do you want to grow your acting skills in a top drama school?

Then come and take part in this exciting week-long devised acting course at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

You don't need any previous experience to take part, just enthusiasm and commitment. During the week you will develop skills in writing, acting, voice, movement and devising, and watch your ideas contribute to your final performance.

As part of your time with Central, you will also be attending a theatre tour or performance in the West End.

Back at Central, you'll continue working to explore the craft of acting and develop your ideas into a devised group performance, performed on Friday for an invited audience.

We do expect everyone to be on time and fully commit to the course, so please only apply if you can make all of the dates. Expect to work hard and have fun!

Please note that on the day of theatre trip there will be a later finish and, unless parents or guardians have provided permission for you to travel back independently, all young people will be chaperoned back to Central.

To attend this course, first priority will be given to students who meet any of the following criteria (please indicate on your application if you are eligible): neither parent attended university, you are or have been in the care of the local authority, you are a young carer, you have a disability, you are eligible for free school meals.
